Dr. Gina Tovine is the Executive Director of Analysis, Assessment and Accountability at Florida Virtual School, where she leads with a strategic vision grounded in data-informed practices and a steadfast commitment to educational equity and innovation.

 

With a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Florida and both a master’s and doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of South Florida, Dr. Tovine brings a wealth of academic and practical expertise to her work. Over her 38-year career in public education, she has been a driving force behind transformative initiatives that support educators and enhance student achievement across diverse educational settings—from rural communities to large urban districts.

 

Since joining the Florida Organization of Instructional Leaders (FOIL) in 2005, Dr. Tovine has served in various leadership roles, including as an advisory board member beginning in 2011. She now serves as President of the FOIL Board, where she continues to shape statewide strategies that address the evolving needs of Florida’s educators. Her leadership is characterized by a thoughtful blend of analytical insight, collaborative spirit, and unwavering dedication to student success.
